If you stood outside on Sunday night, you may have been blown away by the strong winds and heavy rain. Tornadoes ripped through the Midwest, killing 6 so far, with some missing and even more homeless or without power. The government predicts the overall cost of damages from the storm cell total as much as 1 billion dollars.
“The sky was just rumbling for 20 minutes,” Steve Bucher of Illinois said, describing the weather in his small town. “All of a sudden, the wind started picking up, and my wife said, ‘We’ve got to get in the basement right now!'” Bellbrook had a downpour and strong winds while others received little to no precipitation. The storm was so strong it caused the Bellbrook Swim Team to end practice early when the coach decided it would be safest to be home rather than at the practice.
