This year’s Christmas Price Index published online by PNC Wealth Management shows that the cost of all the things in the classic song will cost $27,393.17.  This is an increase of about 7.7% compared to last year’s total of $25,431.18.

PNC Wealth Management began publishing the Christmas Price Index in 1984 with a recorded cost of $12,673.56.  The smallest increase was .6% from 1987 to 1988.  The largest increase was much larger, 16% from 2002 to 2003.  When this year’s cost is directly compared to the cost in 1984, the increase is 49.8%.
