Bellbrook’s Mens Tennis Team recently competed in the Chaminade-Julienne Doubles Tournament on Saturday, May 4. Bellbrook finished the tournament tied in total match points with Milton Union, currently ranked ninth in the state of Ohio for Men’s Tennis, but after playing a series of three head-to-head matches Bellbrook claimed the CJ Doubles Tournament Title for the second year in a row.

Bellbrook’s second doubles team of Michael Dang and Eric Baker claimed the Flight Two Doubles Championship by remaining undefeated in tournament play and triumphing over Milton Union’s 2013 State Qualifiers for doubles. Wyatt Heinz and Alex Boardman, Bellbrook’s first doubles team for the tournament, upset two other 2013 State Qualifiers in the final round, sealing the team championship. “I was very proud of my guys. It is a reflection of their dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout the season,” Varsity Coach Karen Haviland stated.

While the varsity team contested at CJ, Bellbrook’s junior varsity team competed at Centerville’s JV Tennis Tournament and placed third overall. JV’s first and third singles finished in second place for their flights, and junior varsity’s second singles took first place in his flight.
