Everyone likes to have a fun study spot and coffee shops make some of the best places for studying. Five local cafes were rated based on what kind of place it is, the noise level, the drink rating, and how much room they had for studying.
1. Muddy Goose – 465 N Main St, Springboro, OH 45066 – 10/10 overall
The cafe was clean and cute. The space is split into two sections, a front by the counter and a quieter back area. There is lots of room for people and even some tables for bigger groups of people to work. The music that they played was relaxing and good for studying if you don’t have headphones. The customer service was nice and fun. The drinks there are phenomenal. I got a cold brew and it was a 10/10 for me. The other drinks were just as good and they even do cute designs for lattes. My overall experience was amazing. I was productive and calm.

2. Epic Coffee, 22 W Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH 45429 – 5.5/10 overall
The whole appearance gives Friends vibes. The owners work the place and are very happy to talk to customers. The place does not have as much room for people to sit down but they do have outdoor seating. The cafe was pretty loud so I would say that this would be a better place to meet up with friends rather than study. The music was pretty good; it was more of an older vibe. They have a good selection of coffee, drinks, and baked goods. The cold brew that I got was really sweet so I rated it a 5/10. The overall experience was pretty good though I would not recommend this cafe as a good study spot.

3. Central Perc – 2315 Far Hills Ave #1513, Dayton, OH 45419 – 5/10 overall
Central Perc is in Oakwood. The place is quite small and is very British. It was quiet and homey. The workers there are the owners and are very nice. They have a home business vibe by having mismatched personal mugs for coffee. They didn’t have cold brew so we got a fizzy drink that is popular in the UK and it was pretty good, a 7/10. The overall experience of the quaint British cafe was good though it didn’t give off the vibe of a good study spot.

4. Warehouse 4 – 3131 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45429 – 8.5/10 overall
This cafe has a very cute vibe, and they even decorated for the holidays. It was quiet and peaceful, with relaxing music. They had a few cute study spots though they were limited. They do have two reserved tables for bigger groups of three or more. They had an amazing drink menu with very nice employees. I got a strawberry tea that they had and it was amazing! I rated it a 9/10. I really enjoyed this cafe and would definitely recommend it though I would suggest coming early so you can get a spot.

5. Coffee Hub – 450 N Main St, Centerville, OH 45459 – 8.5 Overall
Coffee Hub is in Centerville by Bill’s Donuts. This place is cute! They also have a nice homey vibe. When you walk in, you have two options: one way will take you to a little shop and the other will take you to the cafe. The shop has so many cute clothes and accessories. You can even get costume embroidered clothes for babies, kids, teens, and adults. The cafe shop was compact. They have a closed-off room that you can reserve for study groups. They have many cute little nooks and crannies where you can sit down and study. There are not a lot of spots, but there are still enough that you should be able to find somewhere to sit. The music the place has is very good and current, while still keeping the calm coffee shop vibe. The cafe is quite loud with the music and coffee makers on but with some headphones it’s manageable. I had a cold brew from them and I would rate it a 7.5/10. The whole vibe of the place is amazing, so if you can excuse the noise, it makes for a good study spot.
