Looking for a place to study? We have ideas!

What is a better place to study than surrounded by books? We visited local libraries and bookstores to determine which of these makes for the best study spot by looking at the space they have available for studying, noise level, and overall vibe.

Woodburne Library – 6060 Far Hills Ave, Centerville, OH 45459

This local public library was remodeled in 2018. Both the interior and exterior are stunning. It has books for all ages along with movies and songs that you can borrow if you are a member of the Washington-Centerville library system.

Woodburne makes for a good place for group work or big study sessions, as they have many small and large group study rooms that you can reserve for your needs. It has comfortable places to study, with both tables and comfy chairs where you can get to work.

Everyone there was very friendly and made the experience much more lovely. This library makes for an amazing study spot from the various places to sit and work to the beauty of the building. It is worth it to check out for your next study session.

Wright Memorial Library – 1776 Far Hills Avenue, Oakwood, Ohio 45419

This library is surrounded by beautiful Oakwood homes. Because the library is so close to the schools in Oakwood, many kids make their way there after class to hang out with friends, do homework, or play games on the computers.

The library has a total of two floors, each with their own genres and age groups. The old architecture is beautiful, and there are many cute places to study. The only drawback is that the downstairs area gets quite noisy because of all the kids, so study on the top floor. It is a smaller library which makes spots limited.

Wright Memorial is a cute place to check out, but for studying it doesn’t always make for the best place because of the noise and limited space.

Barnes & Noble Booksellers – 2720 Towne Drive #200, Beavercreek, OH 45431

This bookstore is big with many spots to sit and read or do some work. Inside the bookstore, there is a Starbucks which has even more seating for personal or group work.

Since it’s a store, it’s quite noisy, but not too much to be distracting. The vibe of the place is peaceful. It is a good study spot as long as you don’t mind a little bit of noise.

Books & Co – 4453 Walnut St, Beavercreek, OH 45440

Located in The Greene Town Center, this bookstore is huge, having a total of two floors.

Though it’s big, it only has a few places to sit and unfortunately they fill up fast. They have a sitting area on the first floor and window seats along every window on both the first and second floors. They also have a fro-yo shop at the front that has seating as well.

This bookstore is normally very busy and loud from shoppers, though alone in a window seat is typically a lot quieter than in the sitting area or fro-yo shop.

If you don’t mind the hubbub and noise that accumulates in the bookstore, then you would really enjoy all the cozy secluded spots that give you a chance to escape in a good book. This place is very pretty and definitely a good place to shop for books.

It may be a little too loud to do much studying and the limited surface makes it difficult to work on much.
