From Usher’s shirt off, roller skates, crazy choreography, to many featured guests, Usher had it all at the 58th Super Bowl’s halftime show.
Usher sang a variety of hits at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, including “Love in this Club,” “Confessions Part II,” “OMG,” and “Yeah.”
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in his announcement for the performance.
Usher sang one song with a surprise guest, Alicia Keys. Keys individually performed “If I Ain’t Got You” on her bright red piano and then Usher sang “My Boo” with Keys, which provoked questions from many due to their provocative acts on stage.
“Imagine someone hugging your wife like Usher hugged Alicia Keys,” one user on Twitter said.
Usher also sang songs with H.E.R., Lil Jon, Ludacris, Will.i.am and Jermaine Dupri. Right before Usher sang “Yeah!” with Ludacris and Lil Jon, Lil Jon had the opportunity to sing “Turn Down For What.”
For the finale, Usher performed “OMG” and “Yeah!” Many were singing and dancing right along with him at the stadium or simply in their own home.
Many people were disappointed that Justin Bieber was unable to be a part of the show. Usher had previously contacted Bieber about joining the show, but nobody knows why he declined the opportunity.
