Seniors, get ready for the last weeks of the school year

By Liv Whitlock

With the Spring Break now in our rearview, the rest of the 2023-2024 school year is ready to fly by, especially for seniors. But that doesn’t mean that they can clock out quite yet. Here is what the next few weeks have in store.

The Rest of April

On April 15, get ready to suit up because the money to sign up for the Nerf War is here. For more details on the rules and restrictions, follow the senior Nerf account on Instagram: @bellbrooknerf24.

By April 22, prom tickets go on sale. Prom is April 27. Bust a move at Carillon Park from 8pm – 11pm. Seniors and juniors are welcome.

On April 24, permission slips are due for the senior Kings Island trip.

The Month of May

With the rush of May, get excited for Senior Spirit Week starting on May 6-10. The senior paint fight will be held at dusk on May 7, and May 10 is the senior cookout at the stadium. The senior officers have chosen the following spirit day themes:

Monday 5/6: Career Day
Tuesday 5/7: Purple and Gold
Wednesday 5/8: Paint Fight Shirts
Thursday 5/9: College T-Shirt
Friday 5/10: Beach for senior cookout

Graduation Week

The week before graduation on May 18 is a busy one. Seniors will have two exam days on May 13 – 14. Seniors who earn a B+ or higher third and fourth quarter will be eligible to exempt any final exams for which they meet the exemption guidelines. See Mr. Hann’s most recent newsletter for the updated exam exemptions.

Senior Recognition is at 9am on May 15 in the auditorium. May 16 is the senior trip to Kings Island, and then seniors can get up early for graduation rehearsal on May 17. Graduation will be on Saturday, May 18 at 1pm in the stadium.
