The 2024 Video Music Awards were held at the UBS Stadium in New York, streamed live on MTV and all of the Paramount channels at 8 pm, ET, on September 11.

Megan Thee Stallion, serving as the VMA’s host, also performed alongside other notable artists.

A total of 18 people performed between one and three songs at the VMA’s. Out of those 18 performers, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Le Sserafim, Eminem, Benson Boone, Lenny Kravitz, Anitta, Lisa, and Megan Thee Stallion won awards for their work.

Taylor Swift won a majority of the awards she was nominated for, winning a total of seven different awards.

The best R&B song was awarded to SZA for “Snooze” while the best Afro-Beats went to Tyla’s “Water.”

The best video was awarded to Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For” from the motion picture Barbie, and Ariana Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” from her new album “Eternal Sunshine” won Best Cinematography.

The most iconic performance was granted to Katy Perry’s “Roar,” which initially came out in early August 2013.

After the trophies were handed out, the participants had a choice to deliver a speech.

Katy Perry, winning the Video Vanguard award, delivered one accompanied by her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone, following their success of their hit single “Fortnight,” shared their acceptance speech.

Chappell Roan was embraced with the “New Artist” award, and gave a heartfelt speech showing her appreciation for all her fans following her journey in the music industry.

If you were unable to watch it live, the program can be streamed on Philo, DirecTV Stream, fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, or Sling TV, which almost all have a free trial available.
