Bellbrook High Schools fall sports teams are wrapping up their season. The BHS sports teams are football, football cheer, soccer, cross country, golf, volleyball, and women’s tennis. Almost all of the teams won the South Western Buckeye League title. 

This year’s football team won the SWBL and their record was 10-1. The football team has a cheer team that cheers on the sidelines of all the games. “Overall I had a great time this season,” Kalynn Schaaf, a junior on the varsity football cheer team, said. “I think my team and the football team did great this season. We have struggled with injuries a lot recently but we were just named Channel 7’s cheerleaders of the Week while we were at Oakwood.” 

This year’s boys’ soccer team ended up sharing the league with Monroe. In order to win the SWBL, they had to beat Ross but they tied. “Overall I think my team did good this season,” Joseph Krebs, a senior varsity soccer player, said. “There’s a lot we can improve on, but there’s also a lot we did good.”

This year’s girls’ soccer team won the SWBL going 7-0-1. “I think the team did really well,”  Jordan Frantz, a senior varsity soccer player, said. “We only had two losses in the season including the tournament which was really good. The team culture was the best it’s ever been.”

This year’s boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both won the SWBL. “I think the girls cross country team did pretty good this season overall,” Camilla Bozzuto, a sophomore, said. “Personally I think I improved a lot and at the end I was five seconds away from varsity.”

This year’s boys’ and girls’ golf teams won the SWBL. “Our team had a great season,” sophomore Alina Shroyer said. “We all consistently improved our scores, and supported each other along the way.”

This year’s girls’ volleyball team won the SWBL. “I think we did pretty good this season,” said Liv Culler, a sophomore. 

This year’s girls’ tennis did not win the SWBL. “I think overall it went pretty well this year,” sophomore Beatrice Bizzarro said. “I think we could have done better but we did pretty good for new coaches and a young team this year.”
