Fight breaks out after rivalry football game

In the big game between rivals The Ohio State University and University of Michigan, predictions were all for Ohio State winning because they were ranked and Michigan was not. The ending shocked everyone.

The game ended with Michigan eking out a win of 13-10, making that the fourth time they’ve won against Ohio State in recent years.

The celebration of the win escalated quickly. It started with Michigan marking their flag on the Ohio State field and ended with players of both teams throwing punches. Police and security officers broke the two teams up, but to do so, they had to pepper spray some of the players.

According to CNN, Michigan running back Kalel Mullings said, “At the end of the day, some people got to learn how to lose. You can’t be fighting this stuff just because you lost the game.”

Coach Day blames the response to the flag planting on embarrassment and pride. “I will find out exactly what happened, but this is our field and certainly we’re embarrassed at the fact we lost the game,” Day said in a CNN article. “But there are some prideful guys on the team that weren’t just going to let that happen.”
