Bellbrook seniors share advice for a successful high school experience

By Ashtyn Praeter

Seniors Connor Lindley, Gavin Thobe, Bella Beeghly and Taylor Turner shared their thoughts on reaching their senior year.

From navigating the hallways, to being the first to lunch, getting the best table, and surviving the dreaded finals week, the seniors have seen it all a few times. Hopefully the advice collected from these seniors can make the journey smoother and know that the class of 2025 has got you covered.

The group of seniors all seemed to have a common realization: now that it is the year of 2025, they all graduate and go their separate ways, exploring what they love.

Seniors shared many common themes in their advice, such as being yourself and living in the moment.

“The best piece of advice I have is to live in the moment because it goes by super quick,” Mia Nazarenus said.

“I’d say just be yourself, never give up,” Connor Lindley said.

“My advice is to make the best of every moment and surround yourself with good people,” Bella Beeghly said.

Another common piece of advice from seniors at Bellbrook High School was to become part of the school community.

“Make the most of your high school career and everything going on in it,” Gavin Thobe said.

“Try to go to everything because you will be upset that you didn’t go to stuff afterwards,” Lexie Holding said. “You will wish you went to more stuff like football games and dances, and make the most of them while you are there because they are still fun.”

Some seniors had some advice about how to optimize lunch and classwork. “My best piece of advice for underclassmen is to sprint to lunch so you can be first and make sure to always tell on people,” Taylor Turner said. “Also take French. It’s easier.”

Senior year means many realizations about moving on.

“The biggest realization was that I am graduating soon and I am getting my diploma, which is super exciting,”  Lindley said. “Mine was that I am going to college and I am finally graduating,” Turner said. “I realized that I am graduating and departing from everyone I know,” Beeghly said.

Seniors know they have made many friends here at BHS.

“My biggest realization is that I have three more months of lacrosse,” Holding said. “Then I will never play on a team with my best friends again.”

“I am going to miss everyone because I am moving so far away,” Nazarenus said.

Not all seniors were sad to be departing from their peers and what they have always known.

“I will be going off this summer,” Thobe said. “And I am very excited to be on my own.”
