This year will be exciting with new seasons of shows coming out on Netflix. Here are shows popular with students.

“Ginny and Georgia” is about a teenager, Ginny, and her family wanting to put down roots in a great town in New England after years on the run. Seasons one and two are out now. Season three will premiere on Netflix on June 5, 2025.

The last episode of season two left off with Georgia getting arrested. “The last episode left me on a cliffhanger,” sophomore Emily Betts said. “So I am excited to see the rest.”

“Stranger Things” takes place in a small Midwestern town where mysteries happen during the 1980s. It involves supernatural forces, secret experiments, and one strange girl. Seasons one to four are on Netflix now and season five will be the final season releasing in 2025. 

“It’s definitely an action series,” Junior Cali Harnish said. “It’s very intense and has lots of plot twists. I’m excited for Stranger Things. I binged the entire series three years ago in two weeks and I’ve been waiting for the upcoming season ever since.”

“Wednesday” follows Wednesday Addams and her journey attending Nevermore Academy. It includes her attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, prevent a killing spree, and solve a mystery that involved her parents 25 years ago. Season one is on Netflix now and season two is releasing sometime in 2025.

 “I watched the first season with my mom,” freshman Lyla Dircksen said. “I might watch the second season.”

“The Lincoln Lawyer” is about Mickey Haller, an idealistic lawyer who runs his practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car. He takes on cases big and small across Los Angeles. Seasons one to three are on Netflix now and season four is expected to be released late 2025.

“Outer Banks” is about a teenager and his three best friends hunting for a legendary treasure that was linked to his father’s disappearance. Seasons one to four can be watched on Netflix and season five, the final season, is expected to be released in 2025.

“I am most excited for the new season of Outer Banks to come out,” sophomore Ava Stephens said. “It gives me summery vibes, and me and my family watch it together.”
