After the Bellbrook Eagles home football game against Edgewood, on Friday, September 26, Chick-fil-A invites the student section to come hangout after the game. Chick-Fil-A is extending its hours and will close at 11:00pm instead of its regular hours of operation of 10:00pm.
Located in the Chick-Fil-A parking lot, students will have the opportunity to come hang out with their friends, play yard games, and enjoy music from a guest DJ. They’re also encouraging students to download the Chick-Fil-A app and place a mobile order when they get there to get a free reward in the app the next day.
Mrs. Brenner and Mrs. Krumheuer, Bellbrook High School Spirit Committee club advisors, took charge in coordinating with the Chick-Fil-A marketing director and the Spirit Committee to make this event take place.
“Chick-Fil-A actually reached out to the athletic department to inquire about hosting an event for students,” Brenner said. “As soon as I received the email, we hopped right in and said we were super interested in being involved.”
Junior Caroline Polen, one of two officers for the Spirit Committee, also coordinates with Brenner, Krumheuer, and the students to ensure this event is successful, whether it’s through getting other club members involved, word of mouth, or social media promotions.
“I hope this event makes people realize that it’s fun to get yourself involved in things rather than just go home after the game,” Polen said. “Because after most games, people go their separate ways with their friends, but this event will allow everyone to be together.”
Currently Chick-Fil-A is the first business to reach out to Bellbrook High School’s students to come hang out after a sporting event. Brenner hopes other businesses will soon do the same thing.

“If we take pictures and promote through our website or district social media, I’m hoping that other local business owners will see that and will inspire them to host their own events,” Brenner said. “These events are super important because anything that builds community will build spirit, and we definitely want the community partners to be a part of that.”
“This event is not only beneficial to the students but to Chick-fil-a also because they hope that students will purchase food. As for the students it gives them a safe, dedicated place to congregate, and hopefully celebrate a win,” Brenner said. “I think this can be really a mutual benefit to all parties involved.”
