Bellbrook men’s basketball has been a successful team this year with a 12-6 record and a league record of 5-3. A lot of that is due to a tight-knit group of seniors. Their senior core consists of players Aidan Caswell, Cameron Reagan, David Gregory, Noah Barrios, Will Heitkamp, Carter Sorrel, and Alex Koverman.

All of these seniors have known each other since elementary school and it shows on the court with how they treat each other. “We are extremely close and often hang out on the weekends and grab food after practice,” Heitkamp said.
“We’re all pretty close,” Koverman said.”We all hang out outside of practice and like to just hang out.”
The team will miss many things about being together both on and off the court. “I’ll miss playing with my friends and playing competitively,” Heitkamp said. “I would say it’s been a blast and the teammates and people I am around make it a better experience.”
Koverman always refers to his teammates as the guys. “I love all the guys,” Koverman said.
The team has made many memories together. “Everyone spent the night together after the Oakwood game my junior year,” Heitkamp said.
“I will remember the van rides after games junior year with my teammates and coach Beck,” Gregory said.
Spending all that time together helped lead them to having a strong season last year, as well, ending with a 14-9 record.
The players note there are a few things they would change about their Bellbrook basketball experience. “I would change the late practices to right after school instead of 7-9,” Heitkamp said.
“I want black instead of purple uniforms,” Koverman said.
Gregory has another perspective. “I wouldn’t change anything about the team,” he said. “We are having a good season and everyone gets along amazingly.”
Their last home game is Tuesday, February 17 against Ponitz Career Tech.
