What is the Super Bowl for people who don’t care about the actual Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl is where two National Football League (NFL) football teams who have won the most that year compete against each other in a final play off. The 2026 Super Bowl happened at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The two teams were the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. These two teams played each other February 8. (The Seahawks won 29-13.)

For the people who don’t care and only watch the musical elements: the known artists who performed were Green Day, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga and Charlie Puth. Charlie Puth sang the national anthem. Green Day played pre-game. The halftime show was filled with Bad Bunny singing multiple songs and Lady Gaga singing a cover from Bruno Mars.

Bon Jovi was even there to announce the Patriots onto the field. Jovi is a longtime Patriot fan. He exclaimed that there would be no more concerts in 2026 than the ones originally happening. Jovi was only there to announce and see the Patriots play.

There was also a real wedding that happened that night. The couple originally invited Bad Bunny to their wedding. Bad Bunny was busy, so he decided to give the couple a major wedding gift by inviting them to get married at his halftime show.

A man covered in a black markings ran onto the field and was tackled by a team of security. The man was identified as Alex González. It turns out he was trying to promote his software business. Once caught, he told the New York Post, “I did it now and I’ll do it again.”

Besides the game, there are the commercials. A lot of the commercials that played are specially for the Super Bowl. There were funny commercials like Pepsi stealing Coca Cola’s polar bears and making fun of the Coldplay concert couple who got caught cheating on their spouses.

Other silly commercials played like ones using other artist songs and making them into their own jingles. For example, State Farm made an ad using Bon Jovi’s classic “Livin’ on a Prayer” into a parody of why you should have their insurance. People wrote that Jovi stated, “So just because they’re just goofy, fun, pop culture and it all ties into the Super Bowl, I thought, why not? It’d be great.”
