Kristi Noem was fired by President Trump on March 5 from her role as Homeland Security Secretary. President Trump has appointed Markwayne Mullin to replace her.

According to National Public Radio, President Trump praises Mullin in his social media posts. “A MAGA Warrior, and former undefeated professional MMA fighter,” President Trump said. “Markwayne truly gets along well with people, and knows the Wisdom and Courage required to Advance our America First Agenda.”

Mullin will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security on March 31. While Trump praises Mullin, most students in high school either don’t know him by name, or dislike him for his past actions.

Mullin is associated with his responses to Alex Pretti and Renee Good. According to Consumer New and Business Channel, Mullin called Pretti “deranged” and co-sponsored legislation after Good died.
