Miley Cyrus is at it again, demanding the spotlight at the EMA music awards this past week. The 20-year-old hip hop artist was seen smoking a joint onstage. Miley is a unique singer that has done a complete 180 degrees since her “Hannah Montana” days.
Miley has been changing her image as a role model since her hot single “Wreaking Ball” showed her being provocative. She was giving her acceptance speech for best video with “Wrecking Ball” when she lit her joint. “I feel that Miley needs to keep her habits to herself and not broadcast them to the world,” said BHS sophomore Summer Stange. Miley has gone from an iconic pop star to a mischievous drug user in the matter of a year.
At the recent MTV awards she swapped her dancing partner, Robin Thicke, for a little person in black latex suit. She then performed for the second time “We Can’t Stop.” This award ceremony was not as scandalous as large teddy bears and nude suits but more calm, with Miley wearing a sliver dress. Although she has calmed down from her last performance, “I feel she has gone really downhill altogether, and doesn’t portray a role model,” noted Stange.
