January 20, a new president moves into the White House. Current President-elect Trump will be the new leader of this nation for the next four years. The election brought light to both candidates in a mostly negative format. We as citizens might know Trump’s political stances but many do not know who HE really is.

June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, Fred and Mary Anne welcomed their 4th child into the world. His childhood consisted of military school, and his rowdy personality even with the strictness military school brought him. After high school, Donald Trump attended Fordham College, but transferred to Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with a degree in Economics. After graduation, in 1971 he took charge of a portion of his family’s real estate and construction firm. The name of this company is now called The Trump Organization. His success in this business has translated to the wealth he has accumulated now.

Before his political ventures, Trump was known for his ownership of Miss USA and Miss Universe beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015. Also he was a reality TV star in the hit show The Apprentice, which airs on NBC. This show even earned him a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame but was removed when he was announced as the new President, due to their policy of not putting politician names on the walk.

Trump might have wealth, but he says his greatest achievements are his children. With his first wife Ivana Trump, they had Donald John Jr. , Ivanka Marie, and Eric Frederick. After the end of his first marriage he wedded Marla Maples and welcomed Tiffany Ariana. Many people said the marriage of Marla and Donald was a horrible decision, and those people’s opinions would turn into fact. Maples and Trump divorced and in 2005, Trump married his current wife Melania. They have one child together, Barron William. Trump’s three eldest have been crucial in his campaign and will be executive vice presidents of The Trump Organization upon the inauguration day.

As Trump gets ready to take on the White House, he will be the first president ever to not have prior military or governmental service background. At age 70, he will also become the oldest and wealthiest person to assume the presidency. As the welcoming for the Trump Family has been all but warm, the family says they could not be happier to assume this role and serve this great nation. The First Family may not be used to the political lifestyle, but for the next four years they will have a chance to be acquainted with it. Meet the Trumps, America: they are your new first family.
