The season of two-hour delays and potential snow days is upon us and so is the question as to how to spend the time.
Two Hour Delay Activities
- Sleep in
- Do homework
- Watch a movie
- Read a book
- Build a snowman if the delay is for snow
- Toss boiling water into the air if delay is for cold
- Blow bubbles in the freezing weather
- Make holiday/winter-themed baked goods
- Make hot chocolate
- Look outside and be grateful to have a home
- Write a thank you note to the superintendent
Snow Day Activities That Aren’t Two-hour Delay Activities
- Go sledding
- Build a snow fort
- Have a snowball fight with neighbors
- Drive in donuts in a parking lot
- DO NOT SKIDD
- Ski
- Hang out with friends when the roads clear
- Make snow art–but don’t get frostbite
- Build a fort and hide in blankets
- Make actual snow cones
- Go ice skating
- Have a hike in snowshoes
- Go ice fishing
- Shovel snow for a neighbor
- Have a bonfire
- Go stargazing
- Have a snow sculpture competition
