The long-awaited Elden Ring has a final release date of February 25, 2022 and a console-exclusive beta testing for November 12-14. Ever since the PS5-exclusive Demon Souls remake and the announcement at the June 2019 E3, people have been wondering when Elden Ring will be released. The Elden Ring team announced that the game is going to be pushed back a month, from January 21, 2022 to the new date February 25, 2022. They said that the reason for the push back was because the initial expectation of the game was exceeded.
Elden Ring is a RPG game and the next “souls” game in the series with a big change: it’s open world. Souls games are known for their initial difficulty, rage-inducing gameplay, amazing landscapes, and their creation of a new genre. Dark Souls is one of the better known game from the series, which is fantasy based with magic and illogical weapons and is the series which inspired Elden Ring. Bandai Namco says that From Software is working with George R.R. Martin, the writer of the Game of Thrones series, on this game. The biggest addition to the series is the vast world, the ability to ride a horse, playing alone or online, and large scale environments. You’ll even be able to define your playstyle with a wide range of weapons, magic, and skills found in the world.
