The Marching Eagles underwent several changes to their competition show, titled The Architect. Former Bellbrook bands director and now program coordinator Mr. Carbone traveled from South Carolina to work with the group on a better-shaped show in preparation for their upcoming competition at Mason. Carbone implemented many changes including a complete revamp of half a movement and the inclusion of a sledgehammer with sound effects.

The band’s competition season started off rocky at their MSBA Northmont debut when they performed their show with parts 1 and 2 in the rain. They performed in exhibition class, meaning they weren’t ranked with everyone else, at the Bellbrook Invitational. The Band then traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, to the Cardinal’s Stadium to perform in a regional competition where they placed 21/30 overall and 4th in their class of AA. On October 15, the Marching Eagles traveled to Mason and brought home 12 Trophies, 1st place in AAA, and Overall Grand Champions of A, AA, AAA.
