Bellbrook’s Winter Formal guarantees fun, prizes, and charity support

Love is in the air at Bellbrook’s 2024 Winter Formal, which will be held on Saturday, February 3 from 7-10pm. With a fitting Valentine’s Day theme, the Winter Formal promises an evening full of fun, music, and high school memories.

Tickets sales opened on Monday at $15 a ticket and must be purchased online or in the athletic office during school hours. Purchasing a ticket not only gives dance entry, but also enters each attendee into a raffle with prizes such as Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, and Starbucks gift cards. However, there is a grand prize: a Kings Island Season Pass.

A portion of the dance proceeds will also be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. According to their website, the Leukemia and Lymphoma society is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to researching and curing rare blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. They also aim to aid in other accommodations like affordable treatment and insurance for patients, progress in cancer research, expanding Medicaid availability, and investing in pediatric care.

Remaining ticket proceeds will go towards Supportive Peers, a program implemented by Mrs. Rivero that promotes inclusivity and relationships between BHS students and special education students in the district.

Additionally, outside guests were originally not allowed, but the policy was changed due to popular request. Forms for outside guest attendance must be turned in to the main office by February 1.
