Bellbrook High School 2025 seniors say goodbye

by Ashtyn Praeter

As the school year winds down and the hallways start to feel just a little emptier, it’s time to say a bittersweet goodbye to our seniors. They’ve been our role models, class leaders, and the friendly faces we’ve looked up to since day one.

But before they toss their caps and head off into adulthood, we couldn’t let them go without asking for a little wisdom. From surviving finals to making the most of high school, our seniors have plenty to share. Grab a pen, take notes, and get ready for some heartfelt advice from the ones who’ve been there, done that, and are now passing the torch.

“Do not procrastinate and get things done,” senior Leighara Noonan said. “My best memory was senior skip day because we did so much and did not have to do anything. We spent the whole day in Cincinnati messing around.”

“Get here on time,” senior Audrey Cable said. “And do you because nobody will remember it anyways. My favorite high school memory was playing Just Dance in Spanish 4.”

“Pack a lunch because the lunch here isn’t that amazing and the line takes so long,” senior Mason Burns said.

Underclassmen, take your time seriously but do not take yourself too seriously. High school goes by faster than you think, so make the most of every opportunity—join clubs, try out for teams, talk to people outside your usual circle.

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone; that’s where the best growth happens.

Stay on top of your work, because your future self will thank you, but remember that it’s okay to make mistakes and ask for help. Most importantly, enjoy the little moments—they’re what you’ll remember most.

Bellbrook High School’s principal decided shared a few words to send the Class of 2025 off. “Don’t panic if you don’t have it all figured out,” Mr. Hann said. “Life isn’t a straight path—explore, take risks, and stay open to unexpected opportunities. Keep showing up. Effort, reliability, and resilience will take you further than talent alone.”

“Dream big! Chase your dreams!” assistant principal Mr. Limon said. “You can achieve anything you are willing to work for. Be selfish: take care of yourself (Mind, Body and Future). Surround yourself with people who make you better. Invest in a retirement account! Compound interest is awesome.”
