The Golden Eagles girls’ lacrosse team has officially transitioned from off-season conditioning to full-team practices, preparing for a 2026 campaign fueled by high expectations and new beginnings. Bellbrook High School’s Girls’ Lacrosse season is starting up with their first scrimmage March 2, playing against Fairmont at 6:30 on their home field.
With the start of the season, there are many things to look forward to. “This year’s energy is different,” senior Gracelyn Prosser said, during Monday afternoon’s practice. “We have a lot of girls who have been playing together for three or four years now. We know each other’s movements on the field, and that chemistry is going to be our biggest strength”.
Their senior core consists of Stella Mitchell, Sarah Metzger, Karsyn Phillips, and Gracelyn Prosser.
The 2026 schedule includes several key matchups against conference rivals. Early-season games will test the team’s defense and offensive coordination, areas the coaching staff has prioritized during preseason training. “You guys have really made us proud,” coach Scott Florea said at the last practice before the scrimmage. “We have been working you guys really hard and we can see that it is paying off.”
Beyond wins and losses, the program continues to focus on leadership, sportsmanship, and representing the school community with pride. With supportive fans expected to fill the stands this spring, Bellbrook Lacrosse is ready to begin a new chapter.
