Rockstar Games, the studio behind the Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series, released a nearly 27 minute extended look trailer for their most anticipated game of the past ten years, GTA VI, on August 27.
The trailer gave fans a more in-depth look at aspects of the gameplay such as updated gunplay, more side activities to do such as basketball, the return of the physical fitness system, last seen in GTA: San Andreas, and a November 19 release date.
With its predecessor GTA V grossing a robust one billion the first three days of release, and the amount of fans GTA V introduced to the franchise since its release, GTA VI is setting up to be the largest video game release of all time. Some workplaces are preparing for employees to take off work the week of the game’s release.
“I’m definitely buying on launch,” freshman Jackson Durham said. “The game looks amazing.” This sentiment is not an uncommon one among BHS students more inclined to video games. “I’ve been waiting for this since I played GTA V,” junior Bronson Epifano said.
