AI is changing how we study and do homework today. Many students now use AI every week to help with school or other things. This technology is everywhere, so school life is becoming very different.

AI gives quick help, but it also changes how students learn. On one side, it can explain hard things when nobody is around to help. On the other side many people worry that students just rely on computers too much.

Bellbrook high school sophomore Natalie Coons uses AI every single day since eighth grade because it helps her study. “AI is good for learning, but some students use it for other things, and that is a problem,” Coons said.

This is a big problem because copying answers is very easy now. When students just copy text for homework, they do not actually learn anything. This ends up hurting students because when they do not study, they don’t know the answers on tests.

“When I was in school, kids had more focus and were much more hardworking,” BHS teacher Mr. Garison said. He added that students can learn with AI today, but he does not like it because he thinks it is destroying the planet.

However, other teenagers think AI is mostly a great thing. BHS freshman Gio Sosa has used AI since sixth grade and feels like it helps him a lot. “AI helps me feel like I am talking to someone who actually listens to me,” Sosa said.

AI is also useful for things outside of normal school classes. Coons mentions that she likes it for getting new creative ideas at home. “AI helps me to find good ideas even outside of the school,” Coons said.
