Bellbrook’s Partnerships for Success (PfS) students made a benefit of Hat Day for Payne Sigman’s family on Tuesday, March 18. Each student in the Bellbrook High School that wore a hat during this day gave a dollar donation. The PfS organization have a limitless goal, since every donation will help this family, but have raised $174.73 to date. Mr. Parks’s class raised the most money with $37.
The money will go towards anything that the Sigmans need such as travel expenses, medical expenses, and even feeding their dogs. Mrs. Sumner expressed her goals with hat day,”The Bellbrook community is coming together to help one of their own because that is what you do when someone needs you.”
Overall, the hat day was a success since many students have creative hats on. For instance, Danny Mendez wore a humongous sombrero and Sydney Eaglowski has a purple octopus hat on top of her head.
