Rappers Drake and Future dropped their mix tape on Sunday, September 20. What A Time To Be Alive release announcement came via Drake’s Instagram post on Sunday at 6 p.m. but many fans thought it was just a song, not a full length mix tape. The rapper was said to be working on an album, previously noted to be called Views From the 6. He surprised fans by releasing an album called If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late back in February, and fans assumed that album would be the last for the year. He and another rapper, Meek Mill, had a feud mid-summer and in Drake’s dis track he hinted working on a new album in his lyrics. That riled fans up again and every day fans expected the album to drop. On the weekend of Sept 20, Drake posted on Instagram that it was a mix tape he would drop that day by posting the track listing. He released the mix tape at 8 p.m. on that Sunday on Apple Music.
Regarding the mix tape, there were 11 tracks, and some tracks were only Drake and some tracks were only Future. The mix tape for the first few days has been the number one downloaded album on iTunes. His single called Hotline Bling was released last month and is the current most downloaded song on iTunes.
