Breana Campbell, who goes by Bre, is a 15-year-old sophomore at Bellbrook High School with a passion for art. I recently sat down with Bre to discuss her talents, which were unknown even to her until recently.
M: When did you first realize you have an interest in art and what sparked your interest?
B: I actually didn’t get into art until art class this year because I didn’t have very much experience with it until recently. I realized that I really enjoy being creative.
M: Is there an artist or someone in your life who inspires you?
B: Probably Mrs. Fogarty because she got me into art. The first art project I was involved in was a 30-minute clay project in her Arts and Crafts class.
M: Is there any particular art form you prefer?
B: I like to draw, but it’s not particularly my favorite.
M: Where do you see yourself and your art in 10 years and do you plan to pursue an art-related career?
B: I’ll definitely continue working on my art, but I’m not really sure whether I’ll actually pursue an art-related career.
M: Do you have anything in the works that you are excited about?
B: Just what I’m working on in art class.
We’ll have to wait and see what art Bre has in store for he future, but, for now, here is some of her work:
