This year Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma University was awarded the Heisman. Given to the best player or most valuable player in the nation, it was the greatest award a player can achieve, the pinnacle of an individual career. Baker Mayfield also won the Maxwell Award this year, which is given to the best quarterback in the nation. Mayfield has been electric this season, leading his team to the #2 ranking in the CFP rankings. He is in the talk of going first in the draft because he leads his team like no other quarterback does. He has the respect of everyone on his team, the opposing team and the fans of college football.

The Heisman winner will try to lead his team to a win against Georgia. The Sooners play Georgia on New Year’s Day at 5:00 in The Rose Bowl. Georgia is favored to win the game but Mayfield will try to pull off the upset.
