Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V is a game heavily focused on you, the Dragonborn, and includes weapons and locations from the middle-ages. It is a medieval role-play open-world environment consisting of wilderness expanses, dungeons, caves, cities, towns, fortresses, and villages. Playable from either a first or third-person perspective and published by Bethesda Softworks, Skyrim is the fifth main game in the Elder Scrolls series following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and was released world-wide for Microsoft, PS4, and XBox.
This game’s main story revolves around a dragon called “Alduin ” the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy all. This game is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel. As you play this game, you can customise your character female or male and you’re referred to as “Dragonborn.” You can choose from ten different races and skills applied to all, facial structure and armour from head-to-toe. You get to complete quests and have an option to develop your character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition by allowing players to travel anywhere in the game at any time if they have already visited that location.
Prior to the beginning of the game, Imperial soldiers catch the Dragonborn illegally crossing the border into Skyrim, a crime for which the player receives a death sentence. The execution of the player character by the Imperials in Helgen, a small settlement in Skyrim’s south, is interrupted when Alduin starts laying waste to the village.
If you enjoy medieval video games, you’ll love this one. The game is full of lore and people to explore. I can sit down and explore all of Skyrim with a click of a few buttons. My favorite thing about this whole game is gameplay. You can get your weapons fast and are easily accessible without problem. The lore is amazing to learn with the civil wars and the war between the dragons and people. What made me feel accepted is The Dark Brotherhood, the first faction I was a part of, since the quest was short but sweet.
