Important dates Bellbrook students and families should keep in mind

by Kasie Fisher

Here is the compiled list of dates that you and your family should keep in mind until the end of the school year.

March 11, 2022 – The end of the third quarter

The last week of the quarter can be extremely overwhelming for students; however, just remember that the spring break is right around the corner so continue pushing through. Study for your tests and do your homework!

March 25, 2022 – Bellbrook High School’s Talent Show

The last time BHS hosted a talent show was the spring of 2019 and the talent show is back this year! The talent show will take place an hour before school ends the Friday before spring break. Tickets will be available in the athletic office from March 22, 2022 through March 25, 2022 and all proceeds raised will go to Ukraine. Tickets will be $2.00 per person, so be sure to bring in your money to watch the performances and talent BHS has to offer!

Two-hour delays and early dismissals

There will be a two-hour delay on March 16 for all students so teachers can do professional development. For End of Course testing, we will have a few late-start days where only students testing need to report at 8:20: March 22 (ELA Part 1), April 5 (ELA Part 2), April 26 (Algebra Part 1). There will be no school on April 15 for teacher professional development and there will be a 2-hour early dismissal on April 22 for teacher PD.

March 28, 2022 through April 1, 2022 – Bellbrook’s Spring Break

Spring break begins the second week of the fourth quarter. Students and staff will have the ability to take a break from the school setting and hopefully come back refreshed and ready to finish off the school year strong.

April 9, 2022 – Prom

Prom will be located at Carillon Park this year, the same location as last year, in the new event facility. Prom will start at 7 pm and will end at 11 pm. Students can bring outside guests this year!

April 16 – District Art Show

Students across the district display their art in the BHS atrium. It’s a great show!

April 22-24 – Sugar Maple Festival

Sugar Maple is back! Enjoy our small-town festival and get yourself some funnel cake.

May 2, 2022 through May 13, 2022 – AP Exams

AP exams are quickly approaching and it is strongly recommended that students begin reviewing material they learned earlier in the year. Review materials for AP tests can be found on AP Classroom, YouTube, or you can ask your teachers for review materials they might have. Check AP Central for your exam date.

May 4, 2022 through May 7, 2022 – BHS Musical

The theater department’s annual musical for this spring is The Addams Family. If you have the opportunity, definitely go check out the incredible talent BHS theater department has to offer and enjoy an incredible show!

May 21, 2022 – Graduation

Similar to last year, the class of 2022’s graduation ceremony will be held at the Miami Valley South Stadium at 1 pm. Earlier this year, a survey was sent out to the parents of current BHS seniors and they had the opinion to pick if the graduation ceremony should be at Miami Valley South Stadium or Trent Arena and the winner of the survey was the stadium. There is a rain date for graduation and that is the following day, May 22, 2022.

May 16-17 – Senior Exams, May 23-26 – Underclass Exams

All classes will have exams this year. Students are only able to exempt if they have a full A multiple quarter in the class and if they meet the attendance requirement 4th quarter.

May 26, 2022 – Last day of school, 1 hour early dismissal

Students and staff, congratulations to another great school year! Remember to have a great and safe summer!
