Currently, Bellbrook High School’s varsity volleyball team is the number one team in the South Western Buckeye League. Looking at the whole league’s leaders in specific areas, Bellbrook volleyball players have ranked highly in multiple areas. Junior Sam Pavlak is ranked number two in the SWBL in blocks. Pavlak has 37 blocks so far in the season. Corinne Stamm, a sophomore, has 27 blocks in the season. Senior McKenna Melton has ranked number 2 in the aces category in the SWBL. Melton has 41 aces so far this season.
Collectively as a team, Bellbrook Volleyball has 494 Kills, 460 Aces, and 471 Digs. Compared to the other teams in the SWBL, Bellbrook Varsity Volleyball is soaring above. This year on the team, there are three sophomores, two juniors, and seven seniors. Together as a team, Bellbrook volleyball has a record of 13 – 2.
Bellbrook Varsity has 4 captains this year: Grace Krane, McKenna Melton, Teagan Melton, and Alanna Vavao. Having a strong senior presence and leadership has clearly impacted the team positively. With multiple strong leaders, Bellbrook Volleyball has become an unstoppable force. The teams last loss of the season was against Springboro on August 27. Since then, Bellbrook Volleyball has won twelve consecutive games.
