Rihanna comes back to music after almost a decade of silence.
The 2023 Super Bowl acted as her debut to not only coming back to perform but to announcing her second baby!
Rihanna gave birth to her first child May 13, 2023, with spouse by her side, ASAP Rocky. Although the name has not been announced, she revealed the child is a boy along with pictures.
She is currently in her second pregnancy. Fans were utterly surprised as this was a back to back pregnancy with almost no time in between them.
In regards to the Super Bowl performance, some say it was underwhelming. Former President Donald Trump was not a fan. “EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history,” Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social. “This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language.”
The “insulting language” refers to a photo Rihanna posed beside a spray-painted car that said “F— Trump” in 2020.
However, fans disagreed. “She slayed it. Left no crumbs,” Bellbrook senior Pimmy Phueakthong said.
Rihanna was the first openly-pregnant woman to perform in all of Super Bowl halftime show history.
