Bennett LaPalm is a senior who has been on varsity all four years, except freshman year due to the pandemic cutting the season. Bennett LaPalm has committed to the University of Dayton. “Bellbrook baseball helped me make a lot of close relationships,” LaPalm said. “It helped me develop a lot as a player, working throughout the winter and getting a lot of reps on the field and in the weight room.”

The recruitment process was detailed. “It picked up after a showcase that I went to and schools started to reach out,” LaPalm said. The schools that offered included Alabama State, North Dakota State, UC Davis, and UCF.

Why did LaPalm choose University of Dayton? “I really love the campus as well as the coaches,” LaPalm said. “And the fact that it is close to home. I’m excited for the level of competition and to travel across the country and play in nice facilities.”
To other athletes going through recruitment, “Keep working hard, it will pay off soon,” LaPalm said.
