Over a year ago, Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins tragically passed away at the age of 50. Not long after, they held two six-hour concerts with a collection of musicians to tribute to Hawkins.
And since then, fans have wondered if the Foos will continue to make music.
The band have announced both a tour and an upcoming album releasing on June 2. They even released the first single “Rescued” which mimicked the sound and tone of the Foos 1995 album The Colour and The Shape.
However, who is the new drummer?
There have been several rumored replacements, such as Mat Cameron, former Pearl Jam drummer, and Rufus Taylor, son of Roger Taylor, Queen’s drummer, or even Taylor Hawkins, the teenage son Shane Hawkins who played drums for a portion of the tribute shows.
Taylor Hawkins was known as one of the best drummers in the world, so whoever his replacement is will have big shoes to fill and high expectations to meet.
