The Bellbrook High School boys soccer team has started the 2026 season strong, opening the year with a 5-1-2 record. As of September 14, the Golden Eagles sit in second place in the Southwestern Division of the Southwestern Buckeye League.

Bellbrook has already picked up wins against strong opponents, including Tipp City and Chaminade-Julienne. The Eagles have relied heavily on a strong defense throughout the season. Senior midfielder Braden Poole said the team’s defense has been one of its biggest strengths. “Our defense is locked down,” Poole said.

Senior Noah Kosins also highlighted the team’s defensive success, while recognizing that Bellbrook’s offense has had some struggles throughout the season. “Our offense struggles at times, but we capitalize on set pieces,” Kosins said.

Despite some struggles, the Eagles have been able to take advantage of opportunities on set pieces and remain competitive in close games. With the opportunity to compete for the league title, Bellbrook knows the rest of the season will be challenging.

“We have the opportunity to win the league, which we should, but it’ll be a tough battle,” Poole said. Bellbrook will need to continue taking each game one at a time as the Eagles look to climb the SWBL standings.

Kosins said the team is ready for the challenge ahead. “Just take it one game at a time, and yeah, I’m looking forward to it,” Kosins said.
