On July 25th, 2014, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s new movie “Hercules” comes out in theaters. The actor will portray the storied Greek demigod who, after facing his 12 labors, is sent into battle at the call of the King of Thrace and his daughter.
The movie is directed by Brett Ratner and many people have high hopes for the film. The Rock took to Twitter to offer fans a sneak peek at his Herculean outfit. The 41-year-old actor sports long locks and a beard, clad in armor and brandishing a sword.
Many people are also very worried about how well the movie will do in the box office, knowing that “The Rock” is known recently for his cheesy and cheaply made movies. This is the first time Johnson has had to support himself with his acting on screen because there is no other significant actor in the movie.
According to CNN, he will be giving sneak peeks on his Twitter account leading up to the premiere.
We will find out in July if he can break his streak of bad ratings. So far the movie looks pretty good judging by the costumes and sets.
