Something that colleges love to see is students involved in their high school and earning a good amount of service hours. A great way to start racking up those volunteer hours is to get involved with Homework Help.
Homework Help is just one of many activities that students can work with at our neighboring school, Bell Creek Intermediate. Over the course of six months, from November to the end of the school year, high school students make their way to Bell Creek after school from 3:15 – 4:15. They can help third through fifth graders on various school subjects that they might have for homework that night. The younger kids always look forward to these Mondays and Thursdays when the high school kids come over because it makes getting their school work a lot more fun, and it also takes a load off of the students’ teachers and parents if the kids understand what they’re learning in class.
If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in participating in Homework Help, there are still available spots open; you can give Bell Creek guidance counselor, Mrs. Anderson, a visit on either Monday or Thursday when Homework Help is taking place.
