John A. Snyder, 21, died Sunday, March 1 at the University Hospital in Columbus. Snyder was a 2012 graduate of Bellbrook High School. He was attending Columbus State Community College but had planned on transferring to Ohio State University in the fall. Although he had not decided on a major, his father told the Columbus Dispatch that he “had a keen interest in the criminal-justice field.”
Snyder’s friends will remember him for his infectious energy and his heroic actions. John’s former classmate, Wade Penix, said, “Thank you John, for being such a sweet, caring person–the perfect example of a true friend. Rest in peace.” Snyder’s memorial service was held at The Ohio Union Performance Hall on March 4 in Columbus. He was laid to rest on March 5 in Indiana. Bellbrook High School sends their condolences to the Snyder family.
