The National Honor Society is one of the most prestigious clubs the Bellbrook High has to offer. This year, 28 juniors demonstrated the important traits of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Even though there are fewer inductees than there have been in quite a few years, this particular group shows that when it comes to small numbers, quality tends to be more important than quality.

A new addition to the ceremony this year was the Award of Distinction. This award was given to one teacher, chosen by the senior members of NHS, who goes beyond what is needed to help his or her students. The senior NHS members voted Mr. Breese because of all of his hard work in making sure his students are understanding the work they are given. Senior Katie Bennett said, “In addition to normal school hours, he devotes countless hours of extra time to tutor his students on Sundays at Panera, as well as before and after school, and during mentor period. He pushes and challenges each and every one of his students, myself included, to do our best work and has taught us the value of working with each other…” After the ceremony ended, the new inductees and all that attended were greeted with catered food and live music by senior Ethan Aldridge in the new cafeteria.
