This year the Golden Eagles have dominated on the volleyball court. With an overall record of 18-2, the Eagles are 8th in the state. This year the Eagles have been carried by their seniors, two of whom will be playing volleyball in college. Sara Rogers is going to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and Kira Merkle will be playing at Ferris State University. The girls are undefeated in league play and will finish their season against 3rd place Monroe.

¨This year has been special. There is so much love and fight for each other, I have never been a team like this,” team captain Sara Rogers said. The girls have been hot, beating Springboro recently whom they have never beaten during the seniors’ time in high school. ¨That was the greatest game of my life. I have been happier to come off the court. We have lost to Springboro ever year and to get the win makes me feel fulfilled,¨ senior Mara Neal stated. This year the team has a chance at making it far in the state playoffs. They have one loss in their division against Tippecanoe, and their other loss coming to Division III Anna.
