There are certain times in American society where people come together to achieve something tremendous. Last week, we came together as an online society to achieve greatness when an egg achieved the most likes ever on Instagram.

The old record was held by Kylie Jenner with 18 million likes. As of January 21, 2019,  the egg has 50,177,671 likes. The egg was posted January 4 by the user world_record_egg. The record is an accumulation of the new generation, a new society, coming together on social media to achieve a goal. The goal did not change the world and does not have a long lasting impact, but it shows that our society can still push past differences.
