Bellbrook’s JROTC Makes an Impact

By Sarah Rovinsky

Bellbrook’s JROTC canned food drive was a success! Cadet Second Lieutenant Joshua Oreskovich led his peers in collecting 11,553 canned goods. The JROTC program reached 114.62% of their goal of 10,000. To meet the goal, each cadet brought in a minimum of 50 cans each and volunteered to pass out flyers and collect donations from local neighborhoods. The students visited Kables Mill, East of Eden, Deerfield, Washington Mill, Sugar Run, and Vemco. Donations will go to food pantries in Xenia, Fairborn, and Bellbrook after the Thanksgiving holiday. Bellbrook’s JROTC program currently runs the largest canned food drive in Greene County and has successfully met the set goal every year.
