Combining paint to find out what kind of color is the end result is usually done among the children of kindergarten. Most recently, however, videos of “Mixing Paint” have hit the internet. Twitter accounts dedicated to this new phenomena fascinate viewers. Paint can be combined in different ways of mixing. In my opinion, the end result of these color combinations is obvious, using the art rules taught back in grade school. The high amount of followers these accounts get, some up in the thousands, begs the question, is this a new form of art? Or is this just another crazy phase?

There will never come a day were paint mixing is not around because artists create new colors to bring life to their paintings, but I don’t see this obsession of watching paint mixes continuing for very long. People will always find a way to entertain themselves and waste time.
